CIA says Iraq is now a terrorist training ground

saw the interview with Sen. Kennedy on http://www.cnn.com/video/

seems everyone is finally agreeing with what I've been saying for the past year: the Iraq war created more terrorists in Iraq than ever before and there was no terrorist problem in Iraq under Saddam.

'Iraq nowadays has better terrorist training camps than Al Quada had in Afghanistan under the Taliban regime' by Wolf Blitzer

A classified CIA report that has leeked out says:
- The CIA believes the Iraq insurgency poses an international threat and may produce better-trained Islamic terrorists than the 1980s Afghanistan war that gave rise to Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda

- President George W. Bush justified the invasion of Iraq in part by charging that Saddam Hussein was supporting al Qaeda. A U.S. inquiry later found no collaboration between prewar Iraq and the bin Laden network.

read http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N22703390.htm

Causing more problems than solving them, has been the CIA's track record for decades, now it seems the military and the whole US government have joined.

Okay neo-cons start blasting

Again: I don't hate America or Americans in general, but this government is evil.

Machete_ 06-25-2005 07:21 AM

Fuck Wolf Blitzer !!!!
If I was living in Iraq and another country had their forces in my backyard, I would shoot them to. If Canada invaded the US, you would do the same

Paraskass 06-25-2005 07:36 AM

Since that joyfull day, 1500 +US troops died needlessly ... and this not counting Iraqis that the US don't give a shit about from day one.

aleck 06-25-2005 07:44 AM

how come? what about Bush's buddies making billions there? the war has it's goal and the goal was reached.

Yeah, but let's say Germany invaded Sweden (in order to lower the price of Alcohol and remove the government monopoly of selling it), would you go to Sweden and bomb everything to pices?
btw. I am assuming you're Danish

What they are saying is that most of the terrorists are not Iraqis but from Iran, Syria, Arabia etc. And they are bombing the local police and the iraqi army, and people signing up for either of them.

The CIA must be with the terrorists, since they obviously aren't with Bush/Cheney who say the massively escalating violence is simply the desperate gasps of a dying regime. :2 cents:

dready 06-25-2005 08:44 AM

But we have the oil now.

Rocked by a daily spate of attacks and frequent sabotage of its oil facilities, Iraq more than two years after the U.S.-led invasion is still seen as too turbulent to invest in by many major oil companies.

"The problem in the near term isn't even so much the production level as it is the ability to get it out," said Raymond.

Iraq's oil industry is also reeling from three wars and crushing U.N. sanctions in the last quarter of a century.

So what, same shit happened in Afghanistan when the Soviets invaded. Bin Laden is a Saudi, not an Afghani. The Muslims see the Middle East as a whole country. When a "foreign" military shows up they all get pissed.

mockingbich 06-25-2005 09:25 AM

Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, California, Florida, Virginia, New York, New Jersey....Canada....

AL Qaeda is training there too

Better question is...WHere isn't Al Qaeda training?

kernelpanic 06-25-2005 09:25 AM

Oh, I thought you meant the CIA and US military were training the terrorists. It wouldn't be the first time.

The CIA is probably teaching the Iraqi's swell interrogation techniques like they use as Abu Ghraib and Gitmo, and how to abuse human rights the American way while flipping off the international community.

Anyone that thinks they are simply teaching the new police how to write effective tickets that stand in court, or showing the new military how to defend against foreign troops on their soil (except for us of course), is woefully misguided.

I saw Rumsfeld on TV yesterday trying to explain that the Iraqi people love us, but it's just a few foreigners that are causing all of the problems in Iraq.

The lies and the bodycount keep rising.

ignorant.

Oh, and on a side note, there hadn't been a terroist attack in Iraq , prior to the U.S adventures, since 1918. Good job harboring more resentment :thumbsup

1,926 Coalition troops dead
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed.
