They just associated this thing with the prevention of CP so they could market it to those who don't know any better.

We need more data to be formulated and shown to the DOJ that proves these stances. I think if that type of stuff can be put together it will help the cause.

2257 has as much of a chance of stopping CP and the abuse of children as the US has at winning the war on drugs.

These regulations only got passed off as a measure of protecting children. These new regulations are to place more government control on a religiously/governmentally unpopular business.

Criminals and law breakers will always disobey the laws. Putting a new regulation on someone who is currently breaking the law by displaying/producing CP is not going to change that person. They know it is illegal and they do not care about old regulations or new regulations.

The only way government works is by placing controls on things.

The government has passed these new regulation to appease certain groups of people. They are well aware that they will be challenged. They have now made this group of people happy and can move on to appease the next group.

Legitimate businesses/people have always paid the price for the businesses/people who disobey the law. How many US citizens have uninsured motorist insurance? You pay this to protect yourself from someone who chooses to break the law by driving without insurance.

Plain and simple: No Matter How Many Laws and Regulations the Government Passes the Criminals Will Continue to Break the Law.

Take what I write as you will and agree or flame as this is my opinion and at least I know I am entitled to that.

the DOJ has a list gents. I have a friend (old college roomate) IN the DOJ. 2257 is just about putting some teeth into it. No more. No less. That is how they (gov't, bureaus, etc) work.

When they go after people, such as CP, illegals, and so forth.. they need a law on the books that gives them the rights, clearly defined, so they can take whatever actions, and have the right to raid, ask for, or do what they want in the cases.
