Why it makes me embarressed to be a member of FSC

I am a member of FSC but what gets me is these to commenst they have posted on their site

("Free Speech Coalition is the trade organization of the adult entertainment industry. Its mission is to safeguard the industry from oppressive governmental regulation and to promote good business practices within the industry.")

Then to see this on the same page

("An injunction hearing is scheduled for August 8 and August 9, and the deal applies only to those who are members of the FSC by 2 p.m. Pacific time on June 25.

I don't like the idea that they are portraying themselves to have all in the industry best interests at heart but yet this deal only includes THEIR members.

Like i said im a member simply because i believe in the cause..but I can't say i agree with what this has turned out to be.
I mean if the DOJ had such a bad case why not jut go and push the injuction thru right then and there and cover everybody?

What did i miss here?

An injunction wouldn't cover everybody, either. It would only cover the plaintiffs, which includes the FSC and it's members.

Actualy an injuction does cover everybody!

It means the law is frozen without going into affect untill its constitutional merits are determind by the court.

An injunction only covers the plaintiffs. If a law is being challenged and an injunction has been issued, the enforcement authorities seldom persue enforcement as they know the law is being challenged and would rather wait until the issues are decided because they don't won't to have all their hard work thrown out of court.

However, that being said, the enforcement authorities are NOT restrained by law from busting non-plaintiffs. This is how it was explained to me....
