Anybody that buys this has more money than sense tho... |
Now that's a graphics card! I am gonna talk my day job into getting me one. That should make my Unreal Tournament 2004 really rock.
|
hehe .. I have the 6800 Ultra .. appaerantly the upgrade isnt worth it for me.
|
I'm weary of purchasing another product after my ti4400's fan died on me. 500 bucks thrown away.
Besides that it was a great card but a life of only 2 years is complete bullshit. If you plunk down the money for one tried to get an extended warranty. |

in terms of graphical power, the numbers are impressive, but imagine what nextgen game consoles will be able to do. they are gauranteed by card makers to be several generations beyond what will be available in stores when they launch |
300 Million transistors????
That'd be like fitting the whole US population on a single graphics card. Who figures this shit out? Mind boggling . . . . . :1orglaugh |
probably as loud as an airplane engine...
|
It's solid. But until there's a response from competitor ATi (August) it makes no sense to make the leap now. Too much cash in an uncontested market.
Once ATi's part comes out, prices will drop to more reasonable levels, plus it might actually be better than the GTX, you never know. Talking to myself in this post, because I'm dying to take the plunge and buy two in a new SLI-rig lol...must...wait... |
Damn, that card looks pretty killer. My computer just hit it's one year birthday, but I'm gonna try to hold off until later on this year before I build a new one because I have a AMD FX-53 and an ATI Radeon X800 XT PE, but it's sooooo hard to do it with new parts like this coming out, he he he.
