My stupid fucking niece just joined the military
 

She's in her 3rd week of basic training and my mom just called to tell me about it. The recruiter told her she could get money for beauty school!! :1orglaugh

How can she be so stupid? I mean doesn't she remember how stupid I was when I did the same thing. :1orglaugh

Why can't she see how stupid it was for me to join the army after I saw how stupid my father was for joining? :1orglaugh

Her mom is in the reserves; doesn't she remeber how many times she thought her mom was stupid? :1orglaugh

That foot powder is no bullshit!!! I almost lost my little toe in basic training after athletes foot set in so bad. It basically was going to just fall off.
I ignored that shit even though I had been warned by a friend who had just complete basic.

It's fucking contagious! That's why Bush ain't running out of armies.

I am glad other people still join the military. But I would never recommend any young person I care about to join. After all it is a dangerous, poor-paying job, especially in wartime, however honorable the service. It is really a disgrace how little money they get paid and how little benefits they get even if they are wounded or killed. Good luck to your niece.

you should support her decisions, not bash them. everyone on here should be sending our troops care packages, it's the easiest way to truly say you "support our troops"
