google has been doing for 18 months now hiring people to assess sites.very few get the chop but they use the info to finetune their algo

They need to quit dumping sites to the bottom just because they share an IP address... maybe only temporarily automatically penalizing them pending a manual review. This happened to a couple of my sites and what makes it even lovelier is that a doorway page spammer using my text is all over the top :Oh crap

Google is full of shitty pages ranking at the top. If they don't clean up very soon they will lose it to a new player eventually. It's just getting ridiculous already.

I'd say that iw was your text getting copied that probably caused you to drop rather tha you having shared ip.Send a threatening letter to the owner and the host of the site.
Google is not doing to well at the moment with expired domains.It is not catching many, due to new practices of the domain registrars.
