VX2100 - Fuck you Sony!
 

So I bought my Sony VX2100 six months ago for $2300. Today they are $1300. So, here's a big :321GFY to Sony! Thank god I've had some exceptional models in the last six months or I'd really be a whinny bitch.

what's the difference between 2000 and 2100?

2000 doesn't have enough space between the handle grip and the body. The 2100 has the toggle and start/stop button on the handle too. Might be a better chip also... not sure on that.

ah, $1300 is pretty cheap, where you find that price?

Put a quality Wide Angle Lens on it and it is perfect for porn!

Screw HD. I'm a picky son of a bitch, and can't imagine how many flaws must show up. I'm not doing hardcore, so I can't make the chick any cuter then she already is by trying to shove another dick in her.

That makes me feel better. A friend showed me a few links for $1300, and freaked me out.... but I'd only buy from a true sony dealer anyway, so it sounds like I'd still be at the $2300.

That's the downside of being a compulsive consumer...lol

Tat I paid the same six months ago for my VX2100. Can't complain, I got a LOT of good use out of it. Newer and better video and still cameras are coming out faster every year.

welcome to technology - if you lived in Japan you would see even more of a technology rotation and price dump - its worse than North America by far

i paid over $4k for my 2000. *shrugs* things get cheaper.

My first one costed $3200 new, I just picked up a second one from a friend for $1500 and it is almost new, only had about 12 or so hours on it. :)

Do you guys capture off them? If you do, you should stop and get a cheap mini dv cam to capture from. Saves on the very expensive heads and wear and tear of the 2100.

We still have a VX 2000, and are thinking of getting the 2100. $1300 is a blackmarket price or something... you can't get them legit for that cheap.

What you found is "GREY MARKET", not a Sony product, it's an unauthorized OEM. Buyer beware.
