Why Am I Worried That "War of the Worlds" is gonna suck?
 

Spielberg had 2 other films that didn't do anything for me. Minority Report and AI.

With all the publicity but no reviews I'm worried the most anticipated movie of the year is gonna bite.

Any Spielberg movie I'll go see and "War of the Worlds" is a great book and even though the first "War of the Worlds" didn't follow the book it is still one of the best movies ever made. I'm hoping this one will be as kick ass.

i'm more worried about Tom Cruise's acting, he's getting mightly lame.

hehe .. I'm sure it will be a "good saturday flick" .. nothing spectacular, but a good watch for a slow weekend.

I dont expect much from it but pure mind numbing entertainment. So I might like it.
If you are expecting anything more than that, You will be dissapointed.

Because its the typical Hollywood production. Which is made for the average person. And the average person is almost retarded.

Its a tough one. Tom Cruise is ass but Spielberg is good.. not sure which will conquer the other.

Its either going to look like Indepence Day, or When Mars Attacks. Lets hope for Independence Day.

It will be mildly entertaining crap.

Unless Cruise dies in the movie. Then it won't entirely suck.

I get the same feeling everytime I see the preview.

I just hope its good .. Ive been suckered in by the trailers, as my imagination went wild as a kid when my parents brought jeff waynes war of the worlds .. it fucked my head for a while ... now I am hoping that the film at least comes near to my imagination when it is played out on the screen .. if not, it sucks dead dogs sweaty balls ... meaning I will be dissapointed.
On an almost interesting side note, I got the re-release of WoW on cd for fathers day ... any one else thinks that its a really good story/album ???

It would have to be a violent gruesome death not some emotional lingering tear jerker death.

Aliens and Steven Spielberg. You can't go wrong. Especially when the aliens are evil. I'm sure he really enjoyed doing that movie. And I am sure I will enjoy watching it. It looks like a kick ass apocalyptic summer movie. Thousands of miles away from the idiotic ID4.

I loved Minority Report and AI, and I'm looking foward to War of the Worlds.

This film must be very good.. I'm not just sure is how Tom's actuations lately would affect it.

there have not been any raving reviews from multiple top sources - at least not from what I have heard - usually if its so good the reviews appear way before the release - not happening in this one

It will probably be like The Day After Tomorrow.

The movie itself will suck ass, but the effects will probably keep you watching... :upsidedow

I heard a review on Howard Stern, well more like that he thought it was a good movie. He was at the premeir last night.

Getting tired of all of these remakes and looking forward to something really original for a change. :2 cents:

A.I. was the biggest piece of crap that Spielberg ever did. Minority Report was ok, not great. This WOTW looks like it will be neato.

I'll put the blame of Spielberg though if it sucks.

I haven't seen the previews, haven't looked at much regarding this film, but instead will continue to watch timeless classic horror and sci fi movie classics. To hell with this new crap they are pumping out in Hollywood. All they want is product placement. Buy Coke, buy this, you need to wear that. Brainwashing sucks.

We'll wait and see... Yeah, it will be a blockbuster/mainstream movie (A.I. wasn't), but Spielberg is Spielberg and I hope we won't be dissapointed... :)

Who gives a crap about reviews when all they try to do is to be wittier with the insults than the other guy. Kind of like that retard british judge on American Idol.

I never judge a movie by reviews or anything else for that matter. I am expecting alot from War of the Worlds and i most likely will be disappointed, but no trailer recently has got me this excited about a movie.

I'm also hoping it will be a good movie. But I can't wait to watch White Noise!

Considering that Independence day was a remake of War of the Worlds - I don't really understand why they did this movie in the first place.
