Quit my job of 6 years. Now how can I break the news to my girl?
 

For the past few months. I've been making approximately $2000+/Month. I've been contemplating all year on quitting my physically abusive job. I mean, I've been frequently missing lots of days and going in late. So yesterday morning. They hinter around about firing my for all those infractions. The boss along with 2 other managers called me in the office talking to me about my attendance. I FINALLY broke out and said "I really want to quit this job". I told them I'm financially stable cuz I sell porn memberships on the internet. So they got all the paperwork and I resigned. When 2 of the managers left and one of em stayed. He started whispering to me on how to get in on the online porn business. I just told him to keep buying memberships to the sites and he'll get an invite eventually... lol

But now, I've hinter around to my girlfriend that I want to quit my job. She said if I did, she'll quit me. But she knows I still make money on the net. she just don't like the fact of me staying around the house while she goes to work. I didn't go to work this morning and when she asked why I said I had the day off. Now, next morning is gonna come and I was thinking of leaving for a few hours to make her think I was going to work. But of course I can't do that everyday...

Should I just str8-up tell her that i've quit my job or make up a good excuse like saying I got fired or something? All in all, I just wanted to get some of this off my chest...

first of all, any woman that gives you an ultimatum like that, should have been shown to the door and told not to return

second of all, you shouldnt have lied when she asked why you didnt go to work, now you're in more shit when she discovers the truth.

just be a man in control of your own life. If she dont like it, there are others out there.

If your worried about telling a girlfriend you quit a job, she shouldnt be your girlfriend

Seriously though, you should be honest with her. Her utlimatum was completely out of line. I agree with Socks too. She's too worried about what others will think of her. You don't need a woman like that. She should be happy that you've been able to make enough money in this industry to be able to quit your regular job. Plus, now that you have more free time, it will only (hopefully) increase your monthly income.

fuck i'm in the same boat, hate my fucking job of 5 years, want to quit, make enough doing this but its never constant, my wife would be pissed though if i quit.
