Smoke Away - Day One

I've reached for a smoke at least a dozen times since I've been awake. Maybe it's similar to that "phantom" feeling amputees often report. Chewing gum made it worse.

good luck - quitting is hard.. wish I could

Wait until you have the dreams about smoking.
I haven't smoked in three years. I had smoked for twenty years, two packs a day. You will feel so much better after you quit. No more lung butter in the morning. I used zyban and nicorette gum. The zyban made it doable. Fight the good fight!

Quitting cigs is a full time job on its own. Good luck!

10 weeks smoke free for me, today.

I know what you mean by reaching for a smoke though, even still. Get yourself some lollipops, it's a very similiar hand-to-mouth motion.

SirTreX 06-24-2005 03:14 AM

6 months smoke free for me... Just get through the first weeks and it's over.
