Other cities have been doing this for some time.

Chicago has had this type of information on their police website, but it never had photos, just the names, area of arrest, wheter the car was impounded etc

Why would this be different than a celebrity that was arrested for something.

Russell Crow was arrested recently for that phone incident.
He sorta had the same treatment. (no address though...)

No actual addresses have been given out here in the website.

Once you're arrested for anything that becomes public record and is available to newspapers. The Suburban papers use "police blotter" type of stuff as filler, which also gives names and addresses.

Chicago is showing the mugshots here, thats what's different, as well as a huge PR push to announce it.... so being "first" is actually bad here LOL

At least they seem to have decent photo equipment. The mugshots look better than the ones i've seen on other websites doing this....

No cars appear to have been impounded.

When suburbs set up their stings they get tons of cars at $500 a pop to get the vehicles released on top of all the other fines.

They usually snag a school bus driver or tour bus operator or delivery vehicle when they do those stings in the 'burbs

Once I remember they snagged REAL streetwalkers too because they saw all the extra activity and thought it'd be a good place to set up shop

Uh boss, that delivery is gonna be late, seems the truck has been impounded because I stopped and was giving this "lost" girl some directions.... LOL
