window tint
what do you think would be best for a 4 door car?
30% sides and 15% rear 35% sides and 5% rear 30% all around one thats still dark enough so that during the daytime you cant see that well into it. what do you have on your car? do you like it? |
20% all around if you want low visability of people seeing in
|
I normally deal with sides and back tinted in my car/trucks. I do not wanna deal with the silly (Michigan) law about the tint on the front and front side window shit.
Received a $80 ticket for this nonsense years ago back in Detroit. :disgust |
doesnt drivers side window have to be lesser tinted than the rest ?

I was in the business for 18 years...
Generally yes the drivers and passengers windows have a limit as to how dark they can be tinted..it all depends on what state you live in. Most states that have laws regarding window film coating will only allow you to apply 35% (which is a light tint) to the 2 front door glass. a few don't allow anything and some allow up to 20% whatever your laws are ..don't go darker than 20% on the front door glass..you will have problems seeing at night. if you want the remainder to be darker..thats ok and will shade the interior making it appear darker as well. this site has a page with the laws on it along with other info you might be interested in (it's not my site) http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html |
Oh those tickets, HA i always get them signed off by an officer claiming i removed it and mail them back even though i dont.

thanx for that url Hotrocket
I think i'm going to go with 35% on driver and passenger windows, 20% back windows and rear |
I had 20% on all the windows including the windshield.
