how can I drive more traffic to my blog(s)? I'm doing link trades but is there a better way to get into the higher numbers?

study how the other blogs get their traffic, submit your RSS Feed everywhere, create content that is linkable from other blogs, google for blog directories, etc.

not really. I'm just looking to increase a bit. I hear of people going from 0 - 2k+ in a few days and wonder how the fuck they do it

seo, link trades (which will build a nice pr), feeders, exit links on freesites, banners on your other sites, etc etc....

yeah, but most of them are just dropping circle jerk traffic on them....
GOOD blog traffic is a slow buildup
my numbers aren't huge, but my bookmarkers are growing and I've already recieved a lot of input from them...I've submitted my RSS feed to the major blog directories and have started seeing yahoo listings

of course mine is a personality blog, not just a TGP with some text...

I couldnt agree with you more. Good blog traffic is a slow build up. Just takes time and updating daily and traffic will flow in steadily within time. even if you get say 1k a day if its SE traffic then its quality traffic IMO.

can anyone post a list of places to submit your blog/rss to?

I think that is the name of the game from what I've been doing. I'm definitely surprised with just how much SE traffic I got in the first couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it 2 years time - then the traffic should be pure.
