Need some help in picking a new car
I?m looking for a third car, :pimp want something to have fun with. It has to be a new car from the dealership up to $40k, I?m not looking to spend my days in the garage.
Here are a few I have been thinking about, let me know if you think I should buy something else, I?m open to anything as you can see by the range. Again this should be a fun car. :banana Ford mustang convertible GT http://www.fordvehicles.com/assets/i...st_convt_1.jpg Ford Thunderbird convertible http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...4/003814-E.jpg BMW Z4 2.5i Roadster http://www.bmwusa.com/nr/rdonlyres/e...v_o_z4_25i.jpg BMW 325Ci convertible http://www.bmwusa.com/nr/rdonlyres/e...v_o_325cic.jpg Mercedes-Benz SLK 280 Roadstar http://www.mbusa.com/media/images/ma...LK280_main.jpg Mazda RX-8 http://www.mazda.nl/content/wallpaper/RX8-1_800x600.jpg Lotus Elise http://www.puresportscar.com/specs/Elise-for-FAQ.jpg Mini Cooper S convertible (Works) http://www.joshrubin.com/coolhunting...onvertible.jpg VW new beetle convertible GLS http://www.milemate.com/pictures/offcab4%5B1%5D.jpeg Caterham Super7 Roadsport SV http://www.uscaterham.com/images/gallery_photos/wp3.jpg |
depends where you live and when you'll drive it. if its just for fun id get the Elise or the z4
|
first i would take Lotus Elise
|
3 series... i don't believe any others are the ultimate driving machine.
|
I'd take the lotus Elise, especially sine it's your third car and you're looking for fun! BTW where's the Z convertible? I love my grand touring roadster, would pick the Lotus if I had a bigger budget and it wasn't my main ride.
|
why not the Honda S2000?
I have 2 hondas (Prelude & Del Sol) and I LOVE both of them. Flip |
elise
with caterham unless you are a really good and fast driver you can get killed easily |

may I suggest you add an Audi tt quatro roadster to your shopping list;
enough horses; well engineered, aluminum body, not overprized; keeps its value can be driven all year around on paved and unpaved roads. pick one with the shift peddles on the steering wheel |

With the way gas prices are going, I'd say look for something with atleast moderate gas mileage.
:thumbsup |
BMW 325Ci convertible. There is space -- its good to drive, nice looking and safe

I think that the only one over $40k is the Mercedes-Benz SLK 280 Roadstar and it is about $43k :2 cents: |
noone picks the rx8 I guess but they had a demotour in Dusseldorf last saturday I looked around, was too crowded for a testdrive. Its not that bad actually. No eyecatcher either, but Id take a look anyhow...

get a Lotus Elise, that's the ultimate fun car imho
and it's fucking pimp! |
get the BMW Z4 2.5i Roadster
|
Get the Benz
|
addi----i have a 95 porsche 993 (mine is in perfect shape--48k miles and bought new) and I like it more than any new 911's. I plan to keep mine forever. I only drive her about 4k to 5k miles per year.
U could get a 95-98 for 30k-40k (us)with less than 50k miles. It will drive and handle 10 times better than anything else u buy and u could sell it 4 or 5 years for now for close to what u payed.. Porsche 993 models---the best 911 ever made . They are bulit like tanks, very minimal maintenance, super fast and handle better than any car made. Ask Mikey about mine and mine is polar silver which is by far the hottest color and also still looks brand new no matter how old she gets.. |
Either the lotus, the bmw 3 series or the mini cooper
personally I'm a bmw fan. |

In no particular order my picks.
1) Mercedes Benz SLK but I'd go for the 350 or AMG 55 2) RX-8 3) BMW 3 series Stay away from anything Girlie or American Made. |
