Damn! Pheasants are very stupid but he must have been going quite a speed to achieve that!

I've once driven 175km/h into a small bird that hit my windshield. The windshield didn't break but I got a really good scare out of it. The blood and guts blocked my field of vision for a few seconds before I could bring the car to a standstill.. Luckily it was a straight road in the middle of the night. It was quite unpleasant to clean the feathers and guts out without water or a rag or anything.
