2257 Compliance Statement

To all past, current, and future affiliates of ArikaAmes.com.

Due to the recent changes in the law concerning USC 2257, the owners and operators of the above listed Programs/Companies are unfortunatelty being forced to make some changes to our Terms of Service reference promotional content used by affiliates.

Effective immediately, affiliates or authorized resellers are being asked to remove any content deemed SEXUALLY EXPLICIT from any and all websites, servers, local storage drives, or networks for the purpose of promotion. If any of you are using any content deemed sexually explicit, please remove it immediately.

We know this has put a strain on the industry and how all of our sites have been, and will be promoted. We will be working with our dedicated webmasters/affiliates on a case by case basis to help you bring you into compliance as soon as humanly possible. We are fortunate in that there is not a huge lot of hardcore or sexually explicit content out there right now featuring Arika or any of our other sites. For this reason, these changes should not have a huge impact on our affiliates, however rest assured if you feel it will, we will be here to support you in your measures to abide by our updated TOS and the revised law.

For faster and more complete service we are asking all affiliates to do the following as soon as possible...

1. Log into your CCBill or NATS account and make sure ALL of your information is correct, including your e-mail address and mailing address.

2. Look at any and all promotional content you have and determine if it falls into the category of sexually explicit as defined by 18 USC section 2257. If

it is, please remove it immediately.

3. If you are hosting our promotional content on your own server and you have a minimum number of pictures you need to complete a set, please let us know what set and how many (if any) pictures you need to replace to have your set complete. We will replace your images as soon as possible.


Now, a bit of good news...

Starting in February 2005 we began adding hosted galleries to our NATS system, and urge all of you to take advantage of them. Please only link to the galleries using text or a non-sexually explicit image. We are adding new content as fast as possible to the Ad Tools hosted gallery sections of our NATS system. We also have a gallery builder that allows you to choose a template and a content set which you may then have generated with your affiliate ID embedded in it. This is for HOSTED CONTENT only. If you would like to host your own galleries using the gallery builder please let us know and we will give you compliant images to replace any sexualy explicit images in the set.

If you would like us to host your custom galleries on our server, we would be happy to provide that as a service to any of you as well.

All of the sexually explicit promotional content still available for use in the Ad Tools section of our NATS system is being reviewed and removed this week and will be gone by the 23rd.

Within a few days the new and updated TOS will be posted on our sites, and you may check back at that time to review any additional information we have added or changed. We will also be updating some text and links on our hosted galleries to abide by the new laws.

Again, we apologize for any convenience this may cause to any of you, and as always we are here to support you in your efforts. We would also like to urge

everyone to make a donation, no matter how big or small to the FSC to help further fund the fight for our rights in this industry.
