I was living in LA for the '94 quake. My place was destroyed and my stuff ruined and I thought I was a gonner, having been thrown out of my bed without the slightest warning at quarter to 5 in the morning.

Give me weather over earthquakes everytime. Even a Hurricaine gives you almost a week warning... :2 cents:

I heard on the news this morning you guys were supposed to get at least 5 inches today!! Some of it is supposed to be working it's way up here. Look on the bright side, at least it's cooler when it rains and your power bill will be lower ; )

I DID get flooded.

As you may have heard 'cause I posted some pics here on gfy a while back, I bought a new house. The garage was converted to a beautiful room with bathroom. But as you know, garages FLOOD, as I have discovered today!! You step DOWN into the room, ie. the floor is BELOW the ground level, and the fuckin' water table just rose up and it came through the lower walls and shit. FUCK!!!!! Thing is, I don't got too much stuff in there but I had my computer on the floor. I picked the thing up and water just poured out, but the fuckin' thing STILL WORKED, I'm on it now!! Boy was I lucky.

Anyway, nightmare for sure. Gonna have to have a trench dug around my garage and have a "sumppump' installed I guess. The fuckin' rain sucks and the rainy season JUST began!!!

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! lololololol

Terry, thanks for not showing up or not even calling Philip for the White Trash Bash, things worked out and the show rocked, but that was lame just dropping the ball.

I could almost smell that rain, I love it. The sound and everything was great. Thank you for sharing that! I was born and raised in Florida. It doesn't rain in CA like it does in FL. :(
