I meant 'using photoshop'. Whoever had to be an asshole with the 'Haven't you heard of Photoshop yet?' is totally indicative of why this board is on the decline. Fuck you. I was hoping that an experienced graphics person could simply share a tip or two. I have often shared tips with less experienced webmasters on this board in my areas of expertise and I did not feel it unreasonable to have the favor returned.

Inthestars..seriously check this guy's site out and buy his DVDs.
http://www.designsbymark.com/ If you only get 1 DVD get this one. http://www.designsbymark.com/ps7mk/index.html Then start searching the net for ps tutorials I have suggested this guy's stuff on GFY just about every time a thread like this pops up...I have all three and just love them. |
also if you're not real handy with creating your own styles etc..then check out
http://share.studio.adobe.com/ you can download 1,000's of styles and actions there. |

It looks relatively simple. Do the background first. Crate a gradient with simple lines overlapping it. Create new layer. Find font for "brat". Add gradient. Add stroke (outside) and then either stroke again or else add outer glow. Add new layer for the word Movies, and repeat above. Flatten. Voila!!! Optional: Hire someone that know what they are doing to do it for you. Also, there are all kinds of tutorial books and web sites for Photoshop. Try your local computer bookstore or Google. dont forget the zoom effect - flatten your image then apply a subtle zoom to it, copy the results, unflatten the image and paste behind it
