Was anyone else "borrowing" the golf carts at the Hotel in San Diego?

That was the only thing about the Hotel that I really enjoyed.... That ridiculous walk from one section of the hotel to the other, was only offset by the fact that you didn't need keys for those carts.

Taking them in the middle of night was easy, but when House2Plague tried to talk his way into taking one of them in the middle of the day...THAT was hilarious.

i can sympathize with the desire for not having to walk the dreaded mile

we were lucky to be in the close part where all the action was, so it wasn't an issue

but i know a buddy who actually drove his car from his room to the fountain each day LOL

I did have a room in the main part....but a lot of the people I was hanging with were in the other area....and a couple of the parties...

Actually, the last night I was there I grabbed the wrong cart, it was low on batteries and I had to just leave it in the middle of the parking lot.

After that I just took the security golf cart. I figured that it would always be charged. :thumbsup :winkwink:

well -- the boys and girls of the parking lot had their learning curve -- and i had mine -- sure, at the end there, things got a little "strained" -- obviously management had had words with all the attendants who were (till then) only too happy to accept a wave and a confident grin from me as the only indication they needed to know that all was good -- and all was gonna STAY good -- i've seen this sort of thing before, mike -- sadly, it comes down to envy -- it's one thing to look out for the people around you -- friends -- make sure they're having a good time, and that they don't have to walk if they don't have to -- i was looking out for my friends, as you can attest -- but, it's another deal altogether when you have to worry about the putz sitting behind his desk and frosted windows a block away, with binoculars trained on ya, just cuz your life looks like too much fun from where he's sitting (in senior parking lot operations management) -- that, you can only deal with when it rears its head -- and i did that, too -- good fucking times, eh mikey -- :thumbsup

2HP was spotted cruising down Lombard Street (the crooked street) in San Francisco in what was described to me as a golf cart. A souvenir perhaps?

Can you imagine how frustrated the security guard had to be....finishing his rounds, making sure nothing is being stolen, only to find that his golf cart was taken and is now a quarter mile away?
:winkwink:
