usually it gets split up...the police force sees some of it..goes back into government along with the cars/boats etc they confiscate all that shit gets auctioned off.

I wanna know what they do with all the SUV's on 24"s they confiscate.

they auction them off to the public. they have the auctions every weekend in Chicago.

the police auctions here are a good place to get nice cars

i always wonderered why dont do this with punitive damages in court cases. like if you get $100,000 for suffering and $10,000,000 for punitive cos your coffee is too hot, seems entirely reasonable that the government get the money and not you. isnt the purpose of punitive to punish the company, not award the victim?

They are sort of working on that now with some types of lawsuit cases, though not hot coffee ones.

i think they buy rubber playground mats, and whatever's left they put into a fund for foster kids who need braces -- yeah, i heard that.
