just got back from seeing Batman Begins (review)->>

i had to go see it cuz of all the hype on gfy over it, so i went to the 10:15pm showing here in Milwaukee.

1st impression: this is gonna be a long movie (but the time really did fly by!)

Story Line: was on track and the way they played it out was awesome!

The Film: had the classic 'dark Gothem City' look & feel to it, loved it!

Actors: GREAT CASTING!! Whoever did it, got the 'recipe' down, FINALLY!

Special Effects: off the hook!! if you can, see it on an IMAX screen!

Ending (without spoiling it): made me clap! lol :thumbsup

Final Thoughts: I *REALLY* hope they keep the cast & they make more movies with the same cast, director, writers, special effects, etc etc...they finally did it right this time!

I give it a Baba rating of:
Two :thumbsup :thumbsup 's up!!!

I agree. They need to use this cast and director for EVERY single movie for the next 10 years. Perfection.

I wasn't so impressed. It was great at the beginning and the first 1.5 hour, but then some stupid jokes like those of Gordon drivin' the bat mobile and some other small stupid jokes ruined the 'dark and serious filling' of the movie. All in all I would say 7/10. :2 cents:

Ok, Batman was great. The director had a great approach with this one, and did a great job walking us thorugh who Batman is. HOWEVER! Did anyone else cringe when they first saw his face in the actual Batman mask? And say....."um WTF?!"

He looked fucking stupid in his mask! The guy who played Batman didn't fit the mask right at all!! Oh man Michael Keaton looked better in the mask!

I saw it, liked it, but probably wouldn't see it again, unless it's IMAX.

The ending...I agree....it made everyone clap.

Oh and why can't they just bring back the original Batmobile and just make it look a liiiitle cooler???!! Yea, great, so Batman now drives a fucking tank.....gimme a break. Does he plan on driving through walls and buildings EVERY time he leaves the house? I guess they figured, well shit, instead or being faster than any car, so he can get away from or around cars, he can now just drive over them, that's more practical....right?!

yea, i did the same thing! i dont think they fit the mask to his face well for that one shot. if you look at the other shots towards the end of the movie, you can see that it fits perfectly. but in the very first shot of him in his mask, i was like "errrrr :Oh crap " LOL i just thought it was me being a judgmental pefectionist LOL but you are right.

i actually DISagree with you on that. the car made me fuckin WET! :1orglaugh :thumbsup I loved it! Hell, the boyfriend even leaned over and said "I gotta get me one of those!" :winkwink:

LOL babagirls, nah wasn't just you lol.

As far as the tank eerrrrr, batmobile....sorry bro it's just not the batmobile. I like sports cars 100% more than big heavy army vehicles. I would pick a ferrari over a Hummer any day of my life. Hummers are just not practical. They were made for what they were made, military combat. Why anyone would buy one for the street is beyond my understanding.

Same deal here, the new batmobile is not practical, it's not mean, it's not dark, it's not mysterious, it's bulky.....it's a tank. The batmobile was sleek, scary, it made batman who he is. How is batman going to sneak up on someone in a tank? Hell he wouldn't even catch up to someone in that thing in reality. The kind of cool thing about batman is that he can be a real guy. Nothing fake, not powers...which means no need for computer generated graphics. Not so is the case here since you can't make a tank look like it's going over 50mph.

I didn't think it was stupid, but at the same time it wasn't the batmobile.

I think you get the point i'm trying to make. And besides, who doesn't miss the whinning sound of the supercharger that wheezed as the batmobile came to a slow stop. That was just BADASS!!

Ann-Angelcom 06-19-2005 02:37 AM

Oh and as far as the mask goes, I don't think they ever did fit it right....it was just his face that looked awkward in it from straight on. It was all about camera angles. He looked cool from certain angles, but when you got a good head on look it was almost painful. Tell me the original batman (michael Keaton) didn't look better. Right?

I'm a huge fan of the first 2 batman movies, although when you watch them now they kind of suck (compared to today's movie making standards)
