juve20 06-18-2005 10:09 PM

you can do that with meta tags.

tony

Give it a reason to. Meta tags can help but when it all comes down to it, daily changing content is key, lots of relevant content. If you have the same thing each day it's pointless.

I banged one of their programmers.

What kind of meta tags?

This is very good advice.

Also,

Code:

<META NAME="revisit-after" CONTENT="X days">

Sosa 06-18-2005 10:31 PM

it is all magic baby

Evil1 06-18-2005 10:35 PM

make sure your descriptive/text content changes a lot

candyflip 06-18-2005 11:11 PM

They like RSS. Add a few feeds to your site and you'll see googlebot quite often.

Dont listen to these clowns...

If you want Google to visit you 24/7/365 like it does us you need to setup a structured site and cross link that site with several others all with a 'similar' structured pattern.

For example, on GWW, we link to our other resources, each has a similar layout/structure.

On each of our other resources, we link to GWW making sure that the GWW links get placed before the other sites in our network.

This is called a 'spider trap' a way of ensuring that a spider bounces from one of your sites, to another, constantly, as long as the spider is crawling, itll never leave our resource network :)

We have Google, Yahoo, MSN, Yandex and several other spiders on GWW 24/7 because of this structured linking method.

Also, make sure you have a robots.txt file in place, it will not only stop a shitload of 404 errors in your logs but, each time it gets called, you'll know you are being / have been spidered.

Regards,

Lee

dopeman 06-19-2005 01:42 AM

inbound links. for anchor text, use the keywords for which you want to appear in the search results.

Spankys Teens 06-19-2005 03:16 AM

hmmmmm, become a news site and they will come every day even a couple times a day
