Panasonic DVX 100-A vs. Canon GL2

I have a GL2 but am looking around for something new. A few have told me about the DVX-100a and how great it is.

Any of you have experience with both of them to compare?

DVX-100a wider and richer color pallets. Amazing 24p capabilities for film like look.

I too have a DVX 100 and love it! Did shoot some stuff on a Canon GL-1, I believe awhile back. Doesn't match up to the Panasonic...this camera is way more versatile.

Do you use the built in mic, or do you use an external in the hot shoe?

Also... have you shot wide screen yet with it? I was reading that it does not do that well.
