if he was an MMA fighter, wouldn't he have preferred to take it to the ground? because wouldn't he stand just as much of a chance as any normal untrained guy standing up? or does MMA teach you a lot of standing up stuff? i'm asking because i have no clue....

but if the other guy hits you a couple times and you get disoriented... is there pretty much no chance you'll be able to get the upper hand on the fight again if he just tackles you right after punching you a couple times? or does the training help a lot? i know its a pretty general question

The only way to be able to know is to train. The skinhead didn't know how to fight on the ground. He turtled, which is something Judo teaches you to do, and you can see what happened when he did that. My training would have had me go for his backmount, and go for a rear naked choke. I hate hurting my hands.

They guy that won had experience in boxing at best. He had no control over the skin head when he was on the ground and when skin head came at his waist. No MMA traing for sure.

And in refrence to the knees to the head they were virtually harmless in comparison to what he could have done with them..

He's right. I know very little compared to others but I'd take a fight with a "boxer" any day of the week. They fight with their fists, not their head. Rarely do you see a fight where either person knows wtf they are doing.
