i agree, and the first two were damn good on their own too.

MrPinks 06-17-2005 01:57 PM

thanks for the feedback, can't fuckin wait to see it!

Tim 06-17-2005 02:44 PM

I don't like overuse of CGI. I saw a show about the new Batmobile and it was built as a real car and was pretty impressive so I have high hopes for the film :)

Babagirls 06-17-2005 02:49 PM

thats it!!!! im buying tickets online right now for tonights showing LOL :)

:thumbsup

basschick 06-17-2005 02:56 PM

we saw them trailering the batmobile around town twice last week, and they had it in front of the chinese for the opening. seeing it made us even more excited to see it.

a lot of it is taken from my all-time favorite batman comic series, batman year one and gotham year one. it was great to see batman become batman, and excellent to see lucius brought to life at last :) and it's the first time our millionaire playboy finally really seemed like a millionaire playboy.

i was doubtful of gary oldman doing gordon, but damn - he looked the part and did a great job.

this is one of the best - if not THE best - batman adaptations to tv or movie that i've seen :)

sickkittens 06-17-2005 02:58 PM

Better than the ones w/ Keaton?

MrPinks 06-17-2005 03:08 PM

Much better than the ones with Keaton. I don't want to spoil it but the villian was fucking cool too. Excellent and minimal use of CGI. Better than Sith which everything looked like it was entirely filmed in front of a green screen.

I liked Revenge of the Sith.......but lets be honest here..........Batman Begins makes ROTS look like a toddler's movie.......its so way beyond the ROTS it isn't even funny

flirty 06-17-2005 03:18 PM

i loved it... awesome :thumbsup

it sure was, wasn't it.......

I'd have to say Batman Begins and Cinderella Man are the movies to see so far this year.........and hopefully War of the Worlds will be fantastic too, and I have a feeling it will.

ezrydn 06-17-2005 03:21 PM

Just got back from seeing it....in IMAX! Whoaaaaa! Lots of good action and some of the best laughs I've had in a long, long time. If ya noticed, they left it "open-ended," with "J." Speaking of which, take a break before you go in.

Sarah_Jayne 06-17-2005 06:16 PM

I will once again point out how cool it was to me that the vast majority of the cast was British putting on American accents..the batmobile even went through parts of London I think. Assuming part of it was shot at pine wood.

woj 06-17-2005 06:23 PM

will have to check it out...

Digibucks 06-17-2005 06:28 PM

no time to watch right now, but i'll find time to watch it next week...i need to unwind once in a while

pornguy 06-17-2005 06:32 PM

you didn't like it?!! damn. that sucks man. Did you like the first 2 keaton ones and not this one? or have you seen the keaton ones.

This Batman movie was so fucking good, it smokes the other batman movies. Great superhero movie and was really well done and not cheesy at all.

SaintElGrouch 06-18-2005 07:46 AM

Im with WebCrawler. The first 90 minutes of the movie is filled with boring cliche sayings of fear over and over and over and over. The fighting scenes are done so quickly that you can't determine what the hell is going on. The best part of the movie is the Scarecrow's airborne roofies. The car chase scene was nothing to write home about.

If they continue to run with this version of Batman, I pray that they do not replace the Joker. I don't think anyone in the business could have done it better than Jack.

saw lots of movies of Bale before i get too see this one, from Equilibrium to Shaft. he's one underated actor and this one gives him a lift which puts him
in the A list in the Holywood today. Christian Bale gives us the best Bruce Wayne that has ever graced the screen :2 cents: :thumbsup

jono 06-18-2005 08:23 AM

Awesome. Can't wait to see it.

Bansheelinks 06-18-2005 08:26 AM

Batman Begins was the shit.

I appreciate the psychology and the intellectual creativity that went into the script instead of some cardboard, dim-witted video game. This Batmovie was believable and anyone out there could identify with the character. Hard to identify with Val Kilmer or Clooney when those stupid batsuit nipples are staring you in the face.

Batman Begins has laid waste all the action adventure movies so far this year in a big way. The others aren't even close as of yet.
