2257 Takes Down HawgsCash
 

It is with very deep regret that we are forced to close HawgsCash
effective June 22nd, 2005. Due to new 2257 regulations and other
determining factors we can no longer operate HawgsCash in its
current state and to be compliant would not be possible in the
month time frame the government has given us.

We also recommend removing any and all free content and banners
we have given out to promote HawgsCash in the past as on June 20th
the implied license you have been given for use of this content will
be rescinded on this date.

To ease the closing of our program we have made an arrangement with
AdultPlayersClub.com to create an account at their program and redirect
all your existing traffic to that new account and to a related
AdultPlayersClub site. What this means in simple English is:

YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY TRAFFIC OR SALES.

All your old links will work and go to a corresponding site in APC
that will credit YOU with the signups. Your new login will be:
'hccandyflip' and your password will remain the same as your current
HawgsCash affiliate login. If you already have an active APC
account, please email S.A.K ( [email protected] ) and he
will set your account to be a subaccount of your APC one. That way
you continue to get one check (or wire, etc).

any questions on this decision please let us know via email at
support @ hawgscash.com and we will be more than happy answer any
of your questions.

The Hawgs are not going out of business. They will just be focusing

HawgsCash was good while it lasted but just was not feasible or worth it to revamp the whole thing in a month to comply, thus we decided to close it down. It was our first venture into the paysite market and we learned a great deal by running it.

Anything else ran by us will be still be open and business as usual. The old biz model of non exclusive content is in the past and we are moving forward with an all exclusive content based model for any future ventures. Got a lot of things in the works and we will announce them as we get closer to completion.

I feel for you bosshawg Dirt-E and the rest of the crew.

For the images that you produced that are still up on affiliate sites, you will still have a 2257 liability even though you have closed down operations.

As a primary recordkeeper, you have to keep your model records for 5 years past the closing of the business... so they can still pull a 2257 investigation if they find some image of yours out there, that was able to be tied back to your operations.

This is one of the reasons why they changed the law to require the secondary producers (webmasters) to have the ID, because they saw how historically, content producers would come and go, and those records might be lossed or inaccessible.

so the quick summary is that your company is still on the hook for 2257 for the next 5 years should they have a need or reason to track down the 2257 info on one of your images.

FTP...We are not a primary producer for any of the content on HawgsCash. It was all licensed content we had purchased from other content producers. So the people we BOUGHT the content from are on the hook for 5 years, if I understand it correctly.

Nothing unorganized about our operations at all.

The sites are not being sold, the members area will still remain active so old members can login and see the plugins, etc... We are not looking for an offshore solution as moving paysites and billing is a month task in itself, so we are not interested in that.

Thanks for the well wishes from some, and this move will allow our company to move forward and focus our efforts on the future, which is exclusive content based sites, and our other ventures.

It sucks to hear about Hawgs Cash closing down. It was a great program. They are some of the best people in the industry and I wish them the best. I know they have some great stuff in the works.
