Negative PR and Bullshit Drama

Does negative PR, hype or drama really make you want to promote a program? At Ghost Cash we try to run a quiet and steady ship. But the threads that seem to get the most attention on GFY are the "Fuck you and your mamma threads."

Have you ever joined a program that had some controversy? Is it true that any press is good press? Discuss.

i only join programs because they have sites i can sell... i could care less about the drama. :2 cents:

I wouldn't have visited BVF's blog if headless didn't make that thread...

But no, most negative attention is bad attention... It just depends.. no one really cares about the gfy drama whores so it's not always bad if you get caught up in something. It's only when it's very specific that you get in trouble - ie trying to touch boobies while drunk at a convention.

Well, its true that some of the programs get much more exposure than others based on sponsorships, drama, outgoing reps, etc. Some of the larger programs have multiple people that post, and I certainly wouldn't let one representative be an indicator of the entire company based on his posts on GFY. If they were incompetent and rude to me personally over ICQ, that would be significant, but on a board so full of bullshit, you can't expect peoples' true manner and work ethic to show through.

Ultimately, it comes down to program specifics, response to questions I ask, and sig visibility. I'm far more likely to sign up for a program that is in dozens of signatures of other, well established members with their referral code. If the program was shitty, I doubt that so many people would be promoting it, especially when their incentive to do so is a portion of my revenue should I sign up.

Threads and posts bring attention, whether negative or positive -- and attention usually has some value, especially to those who don't otherwise get any.

But do business on the strength of a personal relationship -- :2 cents:

Yeah, us too! We didn't want to send any of our Thai models to jail cause they're on Creampiethais.com, so we blocked Thailand. Already had problems with some 'White Knights' seeking out the girls and saying 'Yeah, I saw you getting fucked on the internet.'

Needless to say, that didn't go over too well with the girls. :Oh crap

Please let us know how we can better help you promote or any suggestions on improving our program!!! :thumbsup
