I don't know what the fuck has happened. BrettJ was spending a month in mexico with Why, and all of a sudden, he stopped talking to me. Hasn't signed on in over a week, WTF?

Last I heard, he was going out to some clubs to pick up girls to shoot .. .that was LAST TUESDAY, 6/7/2005.

Has anyone heard from him? I think he was arrested, but our attorney hasn't heard anything from him either.

Do you know the last city/area he was in? Contact the local police/hospitals to find out if anything happened. Could he be in an area without internet connections? Bad telephone lines? Anyone else you know in the area? Can they find out for you?

he was in Puerta Vallarta .... seems like a good enough place, I thought everyone from the US goes there to vacation!

If you're seriously concerned & it's not his normal behaviour (he normally keeps in contact with the office and updates you on his progress) - I would.

he and I talked daily when he went down and then it just stopped. No activity on the company account, so I know no shoots never happened either.

Damn.. hope he's ok and this isn't some Boneprone in the Congo drama.

From my husband's stories of the 'vacation from hell' - I'd try to contact authorities there or find a contact that has the contacts there to find him. That's just me though - I'm sure many think my suggestion is ridiculous.

BTW, you can always check with your phone company where the last call he made to you came from (to know which area he was in).

If you are serious you need to contact the closest Mexican Consulate to your city or get a hold of the US consulate office down there.

Somthing similar happened to a college roommate, he got lucky cuz his mom had some clout with the Mexican consulate in LA at the time and they finally got him and his two friends out of Jail.

If he's not the type to just take off without letting someone know then it's a bad sign down there. Hopefully he wasn't caught with drugs or pissed of the wrong guy shooting content of his chick and fucking with his machismo.

The American Embassy can help you. When my gf went to Puerto Vallarta last summer and didn't call me for 2 days, I figured something must be wrong, and called the Americam Embassy in the middle of the night. Within an hour they tracked her down to some motel where she had spent all night throwing up with fever and was treated with an IV by some local doctor.
