I just found a secret on Party Poker...

If you're heads up, and you don't want to fold without seeing your opponent's cards... wait... and time out... it'll show his cards...

Meta Ridley 06-16-2005 12:07 PM

good secret ;)

boneprone 06-16-2005 12:09 PM

haaa! I like that.

EviLGuY 06-16-2005 12:16 PM

See if I had a secret like that the LAST thing I would do is post it on here. :D

GFED 06-16-2005 12:17 PM

ahhh, the first thing I thought was "I gotta share this with GFY!"... hehehe... I hope PP doesn't figure this out and fix it.... comes in very handy...

cyber_ninja 06-16-2005 12:18 PM

nice one :thumbsup

GFED 06-16-2005 12:20 PM

I wouldn't try this on every hand and piss the table off... but for a large pot with lots of money invested... and holding a good hand... for sure!

Alky 06-16-2005 12:21 PM

fuck the table, who cares. you are alloted that time for a reason.

pornguy 06-16-2005 12:32 PM

good find. Did you do that by mistake?

propromotions 06-16-2005 12:35 PM

the next key is figure out how to avoid the software update....on the other hand thier making so much fucking money it does not really matter to them.

V_RocKs 06-16-2005 12:35 PM

Interesting... I just played and two players timed out each and everytime and then after a certain point, they started betting and calling my bluffs!

Now I know why!

I was bluffing a guy out on a really big pot... He hesitated and I said "I'll show." :)

He ended up timing out and it showed my cards without asking me... boy was he heated... hehehehe I love that move...

then I tested it on someone else and it showed me his hand... right now I'm playing PL holdem... haven't tried the other tables yet but pretty sure it would work...

no, you don't fold... just wait and time out instead...

LexiLexxx 06-16-2005 12:58 PM

He is saying...let it time out to see, if the person betting really had the hand or was bluffing!

It can give you a little heads up about, the cards he plays.

I would only do this, if you think you might have had it or think, this guy is a major bluffer!

BillyHoe 06-16-2005 01:03 PM

thanks for the tip

people do it all the time and it's a good way to get your account frozen or at the very least you'll lose your disconnect protect. It is most definitely cheating. The reason being that, if you have the losing hand, it will activiely keep you in the hand without you having any financial risk.

Take this scenario for example:

Person bets all in on the river. You're not sure you have the best hand. You time out (temporarily disconnect). You are still in the hand. Two things can happen.

A. You win the hand without having to bear the financial risk.
B. You lose the hand and the winner does not get the all in money because of the disconnect, although you are in the hand.

Yup, cheating.
