A couple questions from a newbie
 

Hey,

This my first post and I have a couple questions and I am hoping to maybe get some sound advice from you guys here. For starters, I have several diffrent ideas on what I want to do and I would like to run through several of them with you guys and get advice.

1. I have the ability to setup a webcam studio and I would like to do so, but I am wondering which would be the most effective way for me to do so, I have already found several services which will pay you anywhere from 35% to 50% of what you make, so my question is, does anyone know of any sites that are good for working with for setting up girls for webcam feeds?

2. I would like to shoot a movie but I havent really seen this discussed on this website, how can I get my movie distributed here in the US?

3. I am thinking about opening a pay site, I can make all original content and would like to eventually put my own webcam feeds on my site, to get started, I am sure I will have to buy traffic or something similar, anyone have any suggestions on starting a pay site?

These are my three basic questions, I have seen alot of people on here mention that starting out with nothing is the hardest, I am lucky enough to have money to invest in something like this and would like to do it right, to a certain extent the money is not a problem, but at the same time I would like to make sure I do things right.


Any help would be appreciated.

Glad you have only three "simple" questions. It would probably be easier for me to just set everything up for you than to explain it all, lol.

Anyway, here are a few short observations and ideas to help get you started.

You should start researching these issues at a few of the adult resource sites (ynotmasters.com, cozyfrog.com, etc).

CamZ and others have good cam programs I'm told (I don't have any actual experience in that arena).

Getting a movie distributed is easiest if you go through an established distributor, but with each tier of distribution you can expect your cut to get smaller. Setting up your own sales channel is more time consuming, but if you are planning on making lots of movies this is a good course to consider.

As for traffic, there are lots of ways to get free traffic. Start with that and then experiment with some paid advertising.

There is no single way that is guaranteed to work for everyone. Experiment. Also devise systems for measuring your activity (stats analysis, etc). Don't spend all your money at once, and don't expect immediate success.

Finally, get up to speed on the legal issues (2257 etc, model releases etc). You need a good foundation to operate a successful business.
