I have in the past opened the pdf file with photoshop and was able to extract graphical elements.

It depends on the security settings of the document, though. If its unsecured, either Acrobat Pro or Photoshop can extract them.

Hmm... laziness you say? Sheesh... I could open my paint shop pro, set it to take a screenshot, open up the pdf file, hit "F11", crop the image down to what I need and have it up on the web in less than three minutes total.

Some could look on that as the lazy way... I call it time-efficient :D

with version 6.0 and later, you can mouse over the image and do a 'save as' aswell...
