WOW players, watch your bank account.
I signed up for wow a couple months ago, played for a little bit then canceled as it got boring. I now see someone has my credit card number and is making charges at a web site called ige.com. They are doing an investigation into the matter and I have canceled my card.
I'm not saying it?s from wow because I cant prove anything but I don?t use my card much for online purchases and that's the only match that the site has with what I have used it for recently. If you play wow it might be a good idea to watch out as they might have a rogue billing employee. :( |
It most likely is from a WoW breach. Out of 4 people who I know have had their CC stolen in the past few months, 3 of them have been WoW players.
Its not concrete, but quite convincing. |
WoWned.

Did they have purchases from the ige.com site?

Thanks for the warning, what were the amount of the charges?

What bank is it that generates one time use numbers for you to use? I don't recall, but everyone who issues debit and credit cards needs to offer that for people who buy online.
.... or not. That would be bad for rebilling. lol |
I only got hit for $94.99. Im glad I caught it in time as I dont even want to think about how much they could have got.
