Saw My Daughter Go For 1st Operation Today

I hardly ever share personal stuff but I figure if anyone's ever going to get to know me I better start! My daughter, Morgan, is 4 and went in to have her tonsils and adnoids (spelling?) removed this morning. She never ceases to amaze me though. Where I would've been laying in bed, shitting it before the op, she was chipper as ever. Right after the op, as Dad was hugging kissing and about to pass out and feeling about to puke, she's "Okay Okay, presents now???" :1orglaugh I bought out the toy store just now, found this FREAKY looking baby bratz dolls, and will pick her up tomorrow - can't wait, miss her already. House is like a freaking ghost town, I hate it. Anyway, that was my morning! :upsidedow

I hope she's doing better now, give her a kiss for me.

:)

Gald to hear she is doing good... They told me I could have all the Ice Cream I want... Which was not much after the op. LOL

Aw :) Glad to hear she took it well.
5 months ago my eldest son had to have surgery to have ear tubes put in. He took it like a soldier but when they put the oxygen mask on him and his body tried to fight it I broke down. The nurse told me his body would start to jerk a little but I couldn't stand to see that. I cried like a baby lol :) The doctor assured me he was fine and he was/is :)

It's always hard to see your child in pain and we are uaually more scared then they're.

Awww, what an awesome little girl!! Glad to hear things went ok, I'm sure she'll love all of the presents! :thumbsup

Tom_PM 06-13-2005 08:30 AM

Cool deal. I never had those removed.. if I do, can I get presents? :)

MaxxxBeaver 06-13-2005 08:32 AM

I remember when I had my tonsils removed...I didn't get any presents at all...that sucks!

Oh well, I did get all the jello I could eat...haha

kaylacruz 06-13-2005 08:40 AM

hey! I got my tonsils, adnoids, and tubes in my ears all at the same time! Hardly remember pain though, kid's are so resiliant. Just remember having trobule getting a voice out, and eating ice cream, and popsicles!!! Good luck! :) It's hard but try to enjoy the few minutes you have alone at home, they say it's good when you get a chance to really miss them!! :)

xclusive 06-13-2005 08:41 AM

hope it heals quick and is the last you have to see:)

My wife, April, was JUST the same. :) Only one of us could go down to op with Morgan. I chickened out, of course ( guys are usually the pussies lol). April was crying the moment Mogster went under (they used an injection via iv) and it took some convincing to dry up the tears when I saw her again. Great to know your little dude is ok! :)

I HATE jello, and that's what they offered me after promising me all the ice cream I could eat.

I'm still pissed about it. 30 years later.

I can't wait to fuck my kids over like that. I think it's a rite of passage. They're getting spoiled anyways, so that'll be a little slice of reality for them.

eroswebmaster 06-13-2005 11:21 AM

The younger you are usually the easier it is to recover from a tonsilectomy.

I had mine out when I was 14 I was in pain and out all day recovering. My younger brother who was 7 had his done like 2 -3 weeks later and immediately after the operation he was awake and yelling at the doctors.

axelcat 06-13-2005 12:22 PM

Im glad everything went well

HpicAnn 06-13-2005 01:03 PM

i hope you can have her again at home asap..

yup the older you are the worse it is, I was in my mid 20's when i had mine taken out. I was a mess! The pain was the worst I've ever felt.

Glad she came through ok! :thumbsup

When those scabs start to come off and the itching starts the best thing for me was some soft cookies & Cream icecream, the cookies are just hard enough to scratch the itch, but not so hard that it hurts.

xXxtreme2005 06-13-2005 01:21 PM

god bless her

Kristian 06-14-2005 03:55 AM

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. :) She's back home now and having a nap. I might just be the happiest guy in the world today! :)

Cheers
