On sale here 150 euros, never had one, no fan, I know they get hot, not bad uh, maybe ill get one today... any 2 cents?

I have several, one fried and I replaced the drive. Avoid the Porsche models they cook easily.

i never buy prepackaged external hd's...i usually build them myself :)

just got this case though, it is sweet, it has glowing led lights underneath so it looks like it is floating

You can get one from maxtor with both usb and firewire connections.
I have the maxtor personal storage 250GB, never had a problem. :thumbsup

well its just temp space when doing vids, the DV takes a shitload of mem and Im burning them on dvd anyhow... its a porsche one its small makes no weird sounds and with the 1,5 yr warrenty im covered.

Needed to be small the WD etc ones are cool but too big to put in our datasafe...

i have the same which i do three times a week backups to, and uts fine so far (3 montsh old)

cool well at least I know LaCie was good choice :) Oh and Im not into making my own stuff, I rather spend time online making dutchteencash better then fiddling with components :)
