Real Estate

I'm going to buy some real estate soon.
You'd better make sure your neighbour's house isn't for sale.

The rule is buy low, sell high...
Buying high usually doesn't work THAT well...
unless you are buying it for yourself to live in...

Yeah but unfortunately the prices are very high here in Holland atm.
But my purpose is to rent the house out, so on the short term price movements don;t really bother.
I can get a very cheap mortgage, so I think it must be possible to earn a higher rent than what I have to pay on the mortgage.

If you have ?240K to invest into some land I can tell you where to buy it at 1/5 of market value. You can resell it at 2/3-3/4 of market value and make a killing. Of course, I'll take 20% success fee, but that shouldn't stop you from scoring a great deal. :winkwink:

Might work. Will check to see if what's for sale can't be parcelated and sold in smaller parts. If you're seriously interested we should stay in touch.

the rule isnt for entire markets all the time. i only apply that rule to getting a deal. buying houses and trying to predict the market is like buying stocks.

thewebgarage 06-12-2005 11:01 PM

I'm selling as soon as you move in

buddyjuf 06-12-2005 11:02 PM

what city is it good to buy real estate in nowadays?

phoenix? philly?

thanx!

KRL 06-12-2005 11:13 PM

Be real careful. Some areas are getting iffy with many speculators starting to cut back a bit.

sniperwolf 06-13-2005 12:40 AM

goodluck..have a nice find

Postmaster 06-13-2005 11:02 PM

Thank you all. I'll keep you updated.
DamageX, your offer sounds interesting, but I have already found a property I want. If I happen to win the lottery next week, I'll know where to find you :-)
