Is California the best place to live in the US if youre in this business?
 

I'm just wondering why so much is filmed in California. Is it because there are so many model agencies in LA, so its easier to find girls to shoot?

LA is pretty much porn industry central. Florida also hosts a lot of companies.

LA if for sure the porn capital of the USA. And the weather is great. I think people there are more open minded so that could be a reason why it started there. And laws.

The reason California is the porn capital is because our sepreme court is the ONLY state in the US where filming porn isn't legally solicitation/prostitiution. Every other state you shoot porn in you could be violating laws.

And as for the best state to have a business in? HELL NO! Our taxes, and cost of living are astronomical. Nevada would probably be best to incorporate in. California has their hands in our pockets at every turn.

All of the hot young stupid teenage girls move to California to be an actress... and then they fail and are broke and they start shooting porn to pay the bills.

Los Angeles is a great place to do biz if you're in the biz of suing cops.
I even sued and won.
They fuck up so much that all you have to do is show up in the court room to win.

On topic: Plenty of porn actors live in LA so getting talent is tooooooooo easy.
Next is Arizona as far as talent goes. At least for organized talent.

I got tired of La and am starting a company in the midwest, lots and lots of CUTE trailer trash chicks here willing to work for 50 bucks a hr. hell the hooters chic here told me she makes 3.07 a hr and would even fuck ME for a 100 a hr on film . Shre then whent on to say theres maybe 300 strippers in this town - so I have a great base to start with.... not to mention being smack in the middle of the us makes it easy to fly in girls from either coast.
legally i expect a bit of bible thumping trouble as it gets out but jobs are jobs.

California and Florida is where most content is shot.

when you can get a 4 bedroom 3 bath 3 car for under 200k on 3-4 acres in a high end of town.. why live in a shack in LA anymore. the only drawback is the weather... you can live like a king here on what you made before and just got by.
I'm trying it for a few years- see what happens.

Rich, you can get what you want, and not leave the state. Just get a small ranc in the gainesville area. You will love it. Just be close enough to get a DSL.

Other than that property is dirt cheap.

those who film in the usa and film legal age dont have an issue unless they want to film illegal aliens or fly out of the country to film models who then cannot present a usa govt issued id.

as far as cali is concerned.. i dont know how some of you pay your electric bills let alone the mortgage, let alone deal with the mudslides, fires, smog and earthquakes.

atleast in fl we know when the hurricanes are comming.
