Hey Europeans!

I need someone from europe, belgium or Netherlands a plus, to test the 2 mpegs that are included in the link below. The first one SHOULD be 20s and I believe the 2nd one should be 13 or so seconds. Since I'm not in europe I can't test it myself. Thanks

Test it please

Please just click and let me know how long the 2 files go for. Also please tell me your country.

PAL and NTSC only apply to TV/Video.

If you could go back and count the seconds on the 2, that'd be great

It is the format of the tv signal, that's all. Nothing to do with how mpegs are stored or displayed on the computer.

milambur 06-12-2005 12:47 AM

Different mpeg codecs might however affect the time it takes to play the files.

troubled_soul 06-12-2005 12:49 AM

took me 15 sec

SpikeTheJock 06-12-2005 01:03 AM

took 18secs for me

sefo 06-12-2005 01:55 AM

took me 5 sec :D

Calvinguy 06-12-2005 02:28 AM

8 seconds here.... and pal/ntsc is not a issue on a pc

breaker 06-12-2005 02:32 AM

Correct it doesn't matter when you play it on your computer only when you play a movie on your tvset. 50 or 60 Hz. Pal is less frames per second and more lines. And better color :)

Lifer 06-12-2005 02:41 AM

The first one is 6 seconds

The second is almost 14 seconds

This is through DSL from Deutsche Telekom in Germany

FilthyRob 06-12-2005 02:41 AM

EU rocks!!

Mr-No 06-12-2005 04:39 AM

No offence, but...
This is a joke, right?

chupachups 06-12-2005 04:49 AM

about 10-12 seconds for each of them, from Sweden

adonthenet 06-12-2005 04:57 AM

its perfect

More Booze 06-12-2005 05:02 AM

6 seconds - sweden.

Mr-No 06-12-2005 05:17 AM

Ppl, his question is how long those files are (because he thinks that if you are from PAL region then when you play NTSC file it will not be the same length), not how many seconds you need to dl files...
Short answer - there is no difference. NTSC file will have more frames - more frames per second, but number of seconds is the same... :2 cents:

VicD 06-12-2005 05:21 AM

8 seconds here, the netherlands

ThumbLord 06-12-2005 06:20 AM

NTSC (Never Twice the Same Colour ) = if I remember correctly 30 frames per second and PAL = 24 frames per second
