So Tyson lost pathetically, this makes him a complete loser now?
He sucks now, lost his past 3 of 4 fights - it happens to fighters over time, even great fighters. He admits that he lost it.
but it doesn't void him as being a great boxer, he was and he dominated more so than any other boxer. i think this should count for something? unfortunately though, people focus on what "is" and disregard what "was" - one track simple minded mentalities. |
he could kick my ass....but i have guns
|
Off course he was a great boxer ... one of the greatest ...
He wasn't smart enough to manage his cash ... but that's anotehr thing . people will remember him as a great boxer no doubt |
Tyson was never, ever a "great fighter". He lost to every decent fighter he ever faced. The guys he beat up in his prime were chumps. Tyson is not even in the top 30 Heavyweights of all time. He was exciting because he was unpredictable. He was never a "great fighter".

What makes him a loser has nothing to do with the fact that his boxing skills have diminished! :2 cents:

yeah, Tyson needs to give up now. He's just making a fool of himself.

I kind-of thought he was a looser either way, he needed some money and really doesn't care if he was a boxer or not. JMO :) |
oh bullshit.. you can't have a record of 57-6, 44KO (or whatever) without being a great fighter, at least at one point or time... he reigned for 3 1/2 years and fucking demolished nearly all of em'. then unfortunately he hung around the wrong crowd, started wasting his life, ended up in jail, yadda yadda. he is probably the biggest case of wasted potential ever in boxing.

you mean that white boy beat him?
