By open fire im assuming you mean using guns and bullets, as opposed to tasers. What constitutes as unarmed?

In Florida they just passed a law making it legal to shoot someone any time you feel "threatened". :helpme

What if the guy is using a vehicle? Or what if he is going for the cops gun?

Apparently. A number of officers were suspended over the incident that triggered this, where they fired 120 rounds at a guy in his vehicle in a residential area... a number of bullets hit houses and they even shot one of their own force during the chaos :eek7

Well, I think not allowing them to shoot up houses especially when there has been no indication the suspect they are persuing is armed is a step in the right direction. :winkwink:
