Do you use ICQ 5 or ICQ 2003?
 

I'm on ICQ 5 ...but when people send me screens when i'm trying to help them troubleshoot i notice a lot of people using 2003

2002 version for me. simple is better

Well, i think we'd be lying if we all didnt say that we've had our share of problems with icq. But it seems to be a necessity. I even have it on my business card....althought half my clients think its like an offshore telephone # or something :winkwink:

i use trillian, u can have icq-aol-yahoo-msn and irc in one app...
i need shit like this cuz i'm a cheap fuck with a slow computer so it saves me processor time

Ever noticed that when you add a contact on icq and switched back to icq pro/5, the number appears instead of the name?

Why don't people use Trillian... I don't get it.

One big benefit is that you won't receive IM spam.

i think for designers, such as yourself, it is a must-have. but for me, i can (and do) live without ICQ.

All the sponsors have a yahoo messenger screen name so i just message them with that, and i have a TON of webmasters on my yahoo messenger as well. Takes up a hella lot less RAM than icq/trillian did, and the last time i had a problem with it was last year (and that was my own fault). And if im not at home, i just sign on my cell phones yahoo messenger so i can be contacted 24/7.

I love not having ICQ and I will never go back to using that AOL owned piece of shit ever again. :2 cents:
