My 1st BBQ this 2005, whats your favorite BBQ sauce (PIC)

From the Patio of Derek Smout

Just had our first BBQ of the year.
Cooked up some big-ass steaks and chicken.

For the steaks I used Clubhouse Mesquite

And for the chicken my gf used Diana's Chicken and Rib sauce

http://www.dianasauce.com/images/i_rib_bottle.gif

Looking to switch my steak sauce up a bit...........

What are your favorites/recommendations??

Carolina Sauce Company -- I swear by them -- :thumbsup

And what you want is the "Carolina Swamp Stuff Bog-Bottom BBQ Sauce" -- it's indescribable -- :)

Dereck -

Good to see another grilling fanatic here!

You should check out Smoked Delights Championship seasoning!

http://smokeddelights.com/

Jimmy Baugh, Steak cookoff world champion, makes it. I have bought from him and love it. He also posts at my grilling forum, Sharky.com

for $3.75 you can't go wrong!

Every Summer at "The Market" they have a competition with some of the best rib, steak, chicken grillers from across North America. Awesome food, can't wait for it!

(That be here in Toronto, BTW)

:thumbsup

Try this recipe for me.

Melt a stick of butter
Then stick a big hunk of crunchy peanut butter in the melted butter
Add a cup of Worsteshire sauce.
Then flavor your bottled sauce with that...Preferably Open Pit.

I saw it done on the food channel and next time I grill I'm going to try that sauce recipe..Try it and let us know how it tastes.

Doesn't matter to me that much. I rarely eat anything BBQ'ed.

Fred Quimby 06-08-2005 06:26 AM

You people know that if you buy a quality steak, no marinade is needed, right?
