Does anyone think 2257 might help conversions?

If there's less hardcore "out in the open" through the shitloads of free sites and such that will be forced to remove that content, won't that make the surfers have less free porn?

mardigras 06-07-2005 01:16 PM

Less hardcore by webmasters. 2257 does nothing about surfer traded porn, which will become even more prolific if free sources dwindle. :2 cents:

Yes conversions go up when hardcore goes down. We just don't know yet how many sites will go no hardcore. I mean TGPs can legally link to it, they just can't publish it on their site. It's all going to depend on what the masses do.

You guys should get your heads out of your tiny domestic box. 2257 only affects US webmasters. Other countries would never step in and take up the market slack, now would they :1orglaugh

Here's a free clue^

Everyone is getting discouraged about 2257

Look at the bright side. A lot of programs will have non-sexual explicit promo materials
For banners, galleries, HPA?s and FPA?s etc.

This can only benefit the industry in the long haul. Like I have been saying for years and gave up because I realized I was wasting my breath in the past.

The benefit of this would be, Surfers will be more likely to try out a low trial so there will be better conversions and since they can?t see hardcore they will most likely convert to a full membership and retain longer.

Aside from kids being able to see it free...

Yes, stop giving all the stuff for free too the cheap ass surfers.

The big sponsor programs are big for a reason. They have the cream of the crop running them. What kept all these amazing foreign programs from exploding before now?

Do you really think other countries don't want to protect the children just wait and see...

US was just the first to act on it.
