Mexican street food ..
... is the best. Like most businesses here that have only one product, there's a family down on the main road who has a commercial grill outside their house.
Every day they grill chickens, pork ribs, (blackened) white onions and serve it to go with rice and beans and home made salsa. I got a kilo of chicken, a kilo of ribs and all the works + a 1/2 kilo of fresh trotillas for $105 (About $9.00). I'mma scarf now and wash it down with ice cold Sol. You all stay back or I'll stab you in the wrist with my fork and beat you with my empty beer bottles. No joke .. . |
motazuma's revenge.

|
Do they have a vegetarian version? I feel left out of the culinary festivities :(

Actually, the water in Cancun isn't poison and drinking drinks that may actually be made with tap water ice won't kill you... ...the water has a high concentration of minerals, which, if you weren't 'used' to it would make you a little sick, *maybe*, but the damage is over long term when the inside of your bladder looks like the crust on the inside of the pipes. Street food may make a tourist a little sick, but just like horses and dogs etc who build up tolerance by association or "titer levels" to disease, such is the association of anyone living here to eating street food. A Mexican going to Dallas LA and eating would get just as sick. . |
reminds me of having bad gas

Mexican street food rocks. Best tacos I ever had were off a cart in Ensanada years ago.

Actually, there's a Taco Bell here in the Philippines (only 1 so far). I just have them replace the meat with refried beans. Good stuff. :thumbsup |
sounds yummy

Last year in Cancun I ate at this little run down place. The food was ok. No running water. It was awesome.
Oh, and apparently burritos are American. Nobody down there knows what they are. |

I've spent a few months total in Mexico and I've never gotten sick from any food or water.
I can't remember the name of this one place...hell, can't even remembr what city...but they are in the Guiness Book for having the fastest service. The only serve one thing, this amazing beef soup/stew and they're serving you as you sit down. Street tacos rule. |
They do have some good food down here that's CHEAP, don't they? I love it.
And, for those who think "Monty's Revenge" is 'fairy tales,' when I first got down here, I had what tasted great, chicarones con chili. For those who don't know, puffed pig skins with chili powder. Inside of two hours, I was locked in pain. The next ten days, you would find me, not to far away from a toilet. Now, the good news. They've got a pill for it down here that works immediately. No Rx needed. Hand signals work. LOL Why 10 days if there was a pill? Well, the family thought the crazy gringo should go through it, at least once. |
bacon wrapped hotdogs yo
|
I can't believe that you finally ate there LOL
|
I remember being in mexico city and they made the tacos fresh for you with small soft tortillas but all they put in was the meat...then you could pick from fresh salsa, hot pepper sauce, guacamole, etc. to put on your taco...Gotdamn those tacos were good.
|
stab you in the wrist... lol

My wife came home last night and brought some tacos she picked up on the way. 10 of what you show in your pix for $10 pesos (that's $1 peso each, or $.10US). That's the difference between "frontera" and "in-country." LOL |

Oh hey, that escorts site, do you have any real hooker listings in Mexico? I have some good qualified, real Mexican Prostitute traffic primarily from US and Western Europe, all type in traffic. Let me know and maybe we can do something. . |
It has been too darn long since I have been to Mexico.
