GM to Cut 25,000 Jobs, Close Plants
A big announcement by General Motors. The world's number one automaker plans to cut 25,000 jobs and close an unspecified number of plants over the next 3-1/2 years. CEO Rick Wagoner also tells shareholders, the company plans to buy more components from suppliers outside the United States. General Motors says the changes stem from huge losses in recent years.

you can thank Bush for raising the gas prices, not raising min. wages, and adding more & higher taxes for him putting this country in even more of a debt.
this country is basing their prices of cars & houses on people that make $100,000 a yr, meanwhile, jobs are being lost all over the country & wages arent being raised to compensate for the price increases of everything. |
