is it hard to make money from a blog?
 

because i have been thinking of buying one with 1.5k visitors per day.
He told me he made sales almost everyday, but i could'nt see the stats

why not make your own?

you can always run adbrite on the side of the site and get for clicks as well

i think with 1.5k visits a day on a blog, you gotta have a niche specific blog to make a sale every day.
This guess is based on my own genral porn blog.

Well say it makes a sale a week, as long as he ends up making more $ than what he paid for it.

I have one doing 800 hits a day and has averaged 1.7 sales a day for the last 30 days. Yes full sales. 35$ ones. :2 cents:

It?s easier for some people to make money from blogs than others and a lot of the adult blogs I have seen are absolute crap with making money or even any form of marketing at all is a second thought. A blog isn?t a TGP and if you are going to try to make money just by putting a load of thumbs/pics up you are wasting your time.

The more niche specific that you make a blog the better they work. A well-run blog pick up bookmarkers very fast and are really one of the best sales tools on the web. Sometimes it?s a good idea to think outside the box.

anything is possible, blog traffic seems to be decent but there are just a lot of factors. i'm getting a lot of clickthroughs but not alot of sales off one that i have that's barely a month old. but it's also not a strictly porn blog, so it's also got some elements that i enjoy writing about and other perks.

the few signups i got from my blog have very good conversion ratios though

The conversion rates for a niche specific blog are very high. In most cases, I can pick up a sale a day from one of my 5k+ blogs.

Update your blog everyday and you'll get a lot of SE traffic soon... If you've done everything right.

my http://www.nylonsblog.com makes alot more sales than my tgp's with the same amount of traffic! But thats no big surprise! But it takes time to build up traffic. I have some steady, but I got more and more from the search enginges every day!

Updating a blog everyday, is not the same as updating a tgp everyday. 3-5 times per week is enough. Or less you will burn your ass, and throw it all away!

I am not close to making 1 sale aday with my 600 aday celeb blog but its growing and getting more and more SE traffic, so the sales will come :thumbsup

Funny to see that only over the past year adult webmasters started realize that blogs = money lol

my blog does from 40k-55k of uniques and 150,000 page views, and does nice sales :)

my latest blog for some reason isn't getting listed in yahoo properly, only the main page is, whereas my other one got listed just fine every page of it

but yahoo is updating the main page description every day on my listing, i can't figure out why they're not adding all the pages

so i might buy that site

and would you prefer 2 or 3 columns for the blog
