I dont Understand, Creed Singer at Miami Heat Game

Ok the guy from Creed, Scott Strapp or whatever, he's always at the heat games, sits like two rows from me, so I see him every game.

Creed is like a christian rock band, they havent been cool in forever, and nobody even knows who this ass clown is, even when they post his picture on the jumbotron, nobody claps.

He's the guy in the front..

So anyways, this jackass always comes to the game with TWO huge bodyguards, bigger and thicker then Kimbo... I just cant figure it out.

They Obviously cant be for Crowd Control, cause no one gives a fuck that he's even there. And I doubt he has any disgruntled Christian fans that want him dead.. Ahh well, just ranting haha.

I don't think Creed is a Christian rock band. I thought hey had a few good songs in the beginning, but I haven't noticed anything lately. I think they are from Gainesville, FL

They broke up over a year ago. I heard Scott got fat. Yeah they had a few good songs.

They're definately christian rock...

Manowar 06-07-2005 11:08 AM

i liked their weathered album, that was about it.

Donny 06-07-2005 11:08 AM

Actually, they talk a lot of shit in their music about Christians. They definitely have a Christian background but they're not Christian rock. Their music speaks out about how hypocritical Christians are. I like it.

Sly 06-07-2005 11:10 AM

Scott has always been an arrogant prick, thats why nobody likes him. His band members couldn't stand him.

By the way, there are quite a few Christian rock bands that are actually pretty good. You don't have to scream "fuck" or "nigga" every other word to be considered good.

GiantGnome 06-07-2005 11:18 AM

Creed did in fact break up. Everyone BUT the lead singer went on to form Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge truely rocks! They have a kick ass singer with an awesome voice. The reason for the break up? The band didnt like where the music was going. Almost every song on new list was in fact religion based.

Let me add this. The singer did continue Creed with new band members. In my opinion they sound really bad. The new guitar player does a rotten job trying to sound like the old guy.

Metalsound 06-07-2005 11:29 AM

Creed SUCKS!!!

Tallahassee - I lived there when they were first starting out - a lot of bands I know played with 'em

chadglni 06-07-2005 11:38 AM

Someone I know worked in an audotorium Creed was playing at. He told me while they were setting up Scott told everyone there not to look them in the eyes. They might sing Christian rock, but I'd guess it's only a front.

Rui 06-07-2005 11:41 AM

Creed are a joke and all they try to do is ripoff other bands...assclowns made famous by the a bling bling marketing machine nothing more nothing less

That just shows how fickle the american public is - "forever" "nobody knows who he is"? They were one of the top-selling rock bands of all time and were riding high like less then 2 years ago. I don't own any of their CDs, but certainly can tell you they had some rabidly obsessed fans (yea, mainly chicks but still) :winkwink: They sold over 30 million albums.

Alterbridge is doing ok but I guarantee if Creed came out with another CD with all original members tomorrow, it would go multi-platinum again.

I agree 100%

sickkittens 06-07-2005 12:03 PM

He's a jackass because....? Oh, because he's famous and makes alot more money than you.

HarrytheNazi 06-07-2005 12:03 PM

creed sucks...the whole "we are secretly a Christain band, but not really"...is as lame as a bible salesman

...fuck em.

I think you mean about 6 years ago. Back in 1997-1998 they started appearing on the charts, and in late 98, they were pretty big. I actually went to a concert of theirs and had their first CD. A buddy of mine is actually good friends with some of the old members (not stapp). Their first CD was actually good. Everything on their 2nd cd sucked hardcore and they lost pretty much all of their fans and gained alot of new christian/religious fans in 2000 with their horrible singles & mtv videos. They haven't had a hit since early 2001, I think and they broke up a year or 2 ago.

CybermedAndy 06-07-2005 12:24 PM

Ya I heard he went everywhere with bodyguards.. little pretentious.

Creed is the Stryper of the 90's

The only Creed song I ever liked was "One" back in 1998/1999.

You're incorrect. Weathered came out at the very end of 2001 (in November) so that's like 3.5 years ago - they toured successfully for at least another year on the success of that album. It went 11 times platinum! My Sacrifice was a HUGE hit. Also a couple other songs from the album.

Creed sold like 40 million copies worldwide, of course people are gonna know who he is. Maybe they couldn't find anybody else more famous to put up on the jumbotron? Sounds to me like your hate is getting in the way.

webair 06-07-2005 01:07 PM

i think its cause its due to the multiplatinum status they had back in the day

mardigras 06-07-2005 01:08 PM

My favorite Creed song was My Own Prison. Yahoo has that video and a bunch of their others here :thumbsup
