Affiliates Giving Out ID's Please Read
I'm not telling you how to run your business, we've all been given tough decisions to make and as a business owner you've got to make them. I've heard a few say when our models signed our release's they knew we could give out their ID's to secondary producers, but I'm not sure this is what they expected. Giving out ID's is a dangerous thing, but so is being in the adult industry period. I would hope that no affiliate would give out this information just upon request though. If you're going to give out ID's, atleast respect the girls privacy enough to only give out ID's to secondary producers that are making money for you. Switch your programs to only give softcore content that doesn't need 2257 info to new webmasters or people just signing up to the program. Offer an incentive for webmasters who make 5 or more sales the option to get the hardcore content that requires a copy of the ID.
This will give people who want to remain softcore an option to get softcore content, and an option for people who want to take on the responsibility of being a secondary producer an option to do that. This will keep our models a little safer in my opinion. Just my :2 cents: |

Sorry, but I'm gonna bump my own thread here because I think it's an important issue and this option needs to be considered.
Just a warning...I'll bump it in the morning too if this thread gets lost :warning |
bump...I like the idea

I anticipated that sponsors will have to be more selective in recruiting affiliates, but this should have been done for a while.
how many affilates out there are just surfers with passwords to content? I applaud you for looking for solutions instead of beating another henny penny. I'm glad to see that lensman thinks its a good idea, but now a little worried at what he might think is a cut off point! bump for your idea |
so you're not actually addressing affiliates, but rather affiliate PROGRAMS.
|
Hey I replied to your e-mail the other day, did you get it?
And this is an axcellent idea to weed people out of the program who may be a higher risk than others (as an affiliate I mean). |
Hey Luc, good to see you here...get alexandra back on here, i promise I won't give her shit anymore
great post too though....i can't wait for the first lawsuit aimed at the DOJ and a production company at the same time for some poor porn girl getting stalked and raped...just cause some idiot affiliate program gave their affiliates all the id's for that girl |
and for those that have no idea who started this thread, you need to get into the porn scene more...luc is one of the better and larger porn producers in porn vallery, he has been doing this since most of you were pooping your pants

I like it dude.

Isnt there a way around every affiliate having to have the id's? my interpretation was that as a secondary producer its ok for the primary producer to hold the id's but the secondary producer had to know where the id's were kept.
i know everyone interprets this damn law differently. but my interpretation is as long as the primary producer has the required info, and the secondary knows where the info is. its ok. I like others got an attorney looking it over, but still waiting to see what the hell i gotta do as a secondary. |
