Important 2257 question - PLEASE READ!!

If I have a thumb tgp that lists a softcore face only thumbnail, but that thumbnail was taken from a hardcore picture, and the thumbnail links to a text only TGP, which only has links to sponsor hosted galleries, which only have content produced before 1995, but it was republished in 2004, and my server is in Canada, and I live in Montana, but my bank account is in the Cayman Islands.............

am I still an idiot for asking for legal advice on a message board?

i heard that the way that the law is written, the 2257 compliance goes with the image. So even if you take out only the head, that the technical interpretation was that you would still have to have the docs (same goes with banners).

Now this gets into the "thought police", because what if you only had that headshot(ie someone provided it to you), and not the original, who knows what insertion is going on, all you can see is the headshot.

So its a gray area, like much of 2257.. and comes down to your comfort level of 2257 compliance. (insert the consult an attorney verbage here)

:winkwink:
