The E46 M3 is probably one of the most overrated cars of our time.

It took me less than 10 minutes of the test drive to cancel my deposit, they took a step backwards from the E36 and it really shows.

Hopefully they have better luck next time... :(

if youve seen a z4 or even z8 you KNOW you dont want it, its overpriced looks damn cheap and doesnt compare to a 3 or 5 series, its just like the old z3 theyll be sentenced to hairdressers cars in no time.

It's not the same engine. The US market E36 M3 came with the M50 engine and the E46 M3 has the S54 engine.

I just didn't like the handling feel of the E46 although they only had the convertible to test drive and compare to the euro-spec 286hp E36 M3 I had driven before.

Needless to say I transferred my deposit to the Chevrolet dealership and never looked back... now they just need to deliver my fucking car! :mad:

Ok dont know if thats the same block over there, but the e36 and the e46 have the same iron block, the e46 has better specs obviously. Whats true is with these high powered engines the electronics comes along, more n more ppl dislike the m3s or the brabus or r32 cause they come with a shitlload abs esp etc etc, handling is like driving a regular sedan, I agree.

If you want a raw one then going for a Chevy or (my pick) a UK car like a Aston Martin or TVR would be more then logical... So you got a vette right? Nice :)

E46M3 is already an old model.

New E90 M3 comming out soon with a 415 hp V8 engine. :thumbsup

Been on the wait list for the C6 Z06 for just over 2 years now.

The S54 engine in the M3 is beautiful, but the whole car seemed to stray from what I liked in the E36.

I can agree that the E46 is infinitely more attractive than the E36 but aesthetics are way down on the list of my priorities when car shopping. I'd rock a garbage can on wheels all day long if I had a fun time driving it. :pimp
