lol..... The gas company is coming out to have me arrested for felony theft...lol
For the second time in 2 months they have come out and turned my gas off. Both times when we tried to handle it correctly they repeatedly hung up on us. Both times I cut the lock off the meter, then called them to tell them I did and why. The first time cost us 300 bucks for a new valve, this time I only cut the lock itself. The local service supervisor knows the whole story and assured me there would be no problems. Both times they did it they admit it was there fault.
So this morning some asshat from there little Investigations Division tells me he is coming out to turn it off again, and he is going to have me charged with felony tampering and theft. Should be a fun day...lol    |
Good luck. You aren't supposed to touch that shit. Kind of like rigging your electric meter. Watch your back man... I say you might be lucky they haven't been out to pick you up yet :(
|
Just curious, what was the problem in the first place?
|
so what is the problem? Why do they keep shutting you off?
|
tough guy
|
why did they shut it off in the first place?
And good luck dealing with those assholes. When I lived in Westminster and we were late on the water bill, even one day, this asshole came everytime, turned it off, came to the door and leactured us about not paying our bills. We would say, it was just due yesterday, replied to us, "Well that was yesterday wasn't it, this is today" |
Brake the lock off and then put a lock on the opening so they cant lock it:)

|
Do they have high speed at jail so you can get your 2257 program up and ready ? We are waiting with baited breath lol
|
Fuck the gas company! Just change everything to electric! :winkwink:

Depends on where you live, gas can be cheaper. Winter time heating can really kill you |
I went all-electric about 10 years ago. Gas and water are handled by the same company here. Over time my water meter had disappeared into the ground and they had been estimating it for years (not that they ever admitted that). One day they decided they needed to find the meter and chopped all around in the yard with picks and ended up busting a gas line. They capped it off then told me I would have to have it repaired before they could turn the gas back on. Needless to say, I told them what they could do with it and went out immediately and bought an electric water heater. :upsidedow

To answer your questions.....
First time was because there computer fucked up and had us as the party that MOVED OUT, not in. They have some system set up to cross-check and we "slipped through the cracks." So a day after they came out and turned it on, they came BACK out and turned it right back off, without notifying us in any way, shape, or form. This was right around the Pheonix show, it was 40 degrees outside and when I woke up it was low 60's in the house. I hunted all over Dayton to find firewood or those little mini-logs to at least light a fire. By Saturday it was 43 degrees in the house. Arika was in Phx., and no the gas comapny is not open on the weekends. Also I might add that NO hotels around my area had ANY rooms available, so it was a survival thing for me and the puppies here. After I cut the valve off I called the Police and Fire Department and they contacted the gas company who all of the sudden had someone available to come out and have a look. Since all was fine, he gave me his Supervisor's number, apologized for there mistake and said all I had to do was get the valve repaired. |

Take Pics!

Now the second time, which was this last Friday, was because they are claiming I am not a customer........LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL
I just got off the phone with PUCO, the oversight agency for utilities in Ohio. They acted as a mediator between me and the gas company. The lady at the gas company said she had no record of us being customers. There was a deafening silence as I read off my account number and the dates and amounts of my payments..... LOLOL |

Do they have a record of paying your bills?
:1orglaugh |
dude. that sucks. I'd find where their nearest office is, march right in there and demand this issue be resolved or you'll make a stink with the media.
|
And for those of you making the pay my bills comment, there was no bill ever generated. Had there been, it should have been payed automaticlly, as when we set up the account 2 months ago it was set to auto-bill on our CC. So the only thing we ever would have seen was a statement. They admitted today that we had again fallen through the cracks, and even though we had an account, they didn't associate our account to this address.
By the way, the total bill was $116.18. What a waste of resources. |

Honestly, the main office is less than 2 blocks from my house, that's part of what makes all this so fucking frustrating. All the local people know what's going on, and have since day one. I can walk out to the end of my street and see there regional office that handle most of the Dayton area. |

I don't understand you question. :helpme |

I bet you could almost picture the GFY "owned" pictures at that moment haha. |
holy shit what a fuck up, good luck with it man!

Oh man, that's a piss off. |
Oh, and I fully realize I broke the law by tampering with the meter locking thing, and as soon as I did what I did my first call was to the PD to advise them what was going on should anything happen. I also advised everyone at Vectron I talked to and PUCO first thing.
I am not afraid one bit at the consequences of my actions. i told the flubtard with a phone hard-on to come on out, we'll discuss him trying to arrest me over tea and crumpets. (I'll get video of that too...lol) |
Quote:
Yup, and I think thats why the PUCO guy wanted off the phone, he didn't want to be heard laughing since I had already proven to him what got paid and when, as well as all the other documentation I had that Vectron fucked up and had 8 different stories as to why. |

I wasn't so much worried about myself as I was the puppies, they were both shivering. I tried finding other means before I did what I did. |

that sucks man, just sit out on your steps and wait for the assholes to show up, when he gets there call the supervisor you spoke to and put him on the phone with the inspector i'm sure if he said that everything would be taken care of he'll have no problem telling the asshole not to shut off your gas again
|
Go out and collect some really wet and stinky dog shit and wipe it all over the locking mechanism. Then setup a camera and take pictures
|

Thats a really good idea actually. If I knew how to set up a video server thingy I would get a live feed going for GFY...lol |
Phone the cops tell them some drugged out wierdo was following your children, and you think he was posing as a meter man
|
Quote:
The cops already know what's going on, that won't work this time. Maybe next month... |
Go hire a really skanky dirty prostitute and pay her to walk around naked while he is working on the meter ( he might like it though so be carefull with that one )
